Jonas Vingegaard, the two-time Tour de France winner who was in second place overall behind Tadej Pogačar, withdrew from the race on Sunday after a crash during stage 15, leaving his right arm in a sling.

Vingegaard, rider for team Visma-Lease a Bike, and Isaac Del Toro, Pogačar's teammate at UAE Team Emirates, fell to the ground after colliding about 20 kilometers from the end of today's stage.

The Danish Vingegaard was visibly in pain before being taken to an ambulance.

Pogačar, the four-time race winner, led Vingegaard by four minutes and 30 seconds in the overall standings before the start of this stage.
