Zakaria Hawsawi, Al-Ahli's full-back, suffered a worrying injury during the team's second friendly match in their current camp in Austria, as they prepare for the new 2026-2027 football season.

Al-Ahli faced German side Holstein Kiel on Wednesday in the second friendly match of their Austria camp.

In the 15th minute, Zakaria Hawsawi fell to the ground after suffering an injury, unable to continue. He left the pitch and was replaced by Saad Balobaid.

The injury has sparked concern among Al-Ahli fans, especially as Hawsawi has been a key player relied upon by German coach Matthias Jaissle since last season.
