FIFA has announced the 2026 World Cup dream team, selected based on fan voting, which includes Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha and Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, after their outstanding performances during the tournament.

Vozinha tops the goalkeeping race

Vozinha topped the fan voting for goalkeepers after receiving 39.6% of the votes, a reward for his exceptional performance that led the Cape Verde national team in their first-ever World Cup appearance, despite the Golden Glove award going to Spain's Unai Simón, which is chosen by FIFA's technical committee.

The veteran goalkeeper, aged 40, delivered extraordinary performances, most notably saving seven shots against Spain in a goalless draw, and played a key role in taking his team to extra time against Argentina in the round of 32 before exiting the tournament.

Haaland leads Norway to historic achievement

In attack, Erling Haaland received 27.5% of the fan votes after leading Norway to the quarterfinals for the first time in their history.

The Manchester City striker scored seven goals in five matches, including a brace in the historic 2-1 win over Brazil in the round of 16, before Norway's journey ended with a loss to England.

A selection of world stars

The dream team includes several top tournament stars, led by Argentina's Lionel Messi, France's Kylian Mbappé, England's Jude Bellingham, alongside Spain's Rodri and France's Michael Olise.
