(CNN) -- England qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup after defeating Norway 2-1 in a match that went to extra time at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night.

After the match, Thomas Tuchel, manager of the Three Lions, expressed dissatisfaction with his team's performance despite the victory and reaching the semi-finals. Tuchel said in comments reported by Euro Sport on Sunday: 'We made things difficult for ourselves. The result is great, we made it to the semi-finals, it's amazing, but I am not satisfied with the performance, in every sense of the word.'

He added: 'Again, the commitment is there, but we made things extremely difficult with our way of playing. We played sloppily, made a lot of technical errors, weren't fast enough, and we were lucky today.'

Jude Bellingham, who scored England's two winning goals, was asked about his opinion on Tuchel's comments, and he replied: 'Well, whatever, whatever. It was tough, it's a tough task.'

He continued: 'All the players are putting in great effort, so I send my thoughts and appreciation to the players who performed well on the pitch.'

Bellingham added: 'Perhaps he (Tuchel) doesn't know what it's like to play in such conditions against Erling Haaland, Martin Ødegaard, Antonio Nusa, and Sørloth.'

He continued: 'It's not easy to play against this team, so, you know, I think we tried to create a positive environment, and we must continue in this manner after reaching the semi-finals.'

England will face France in the semi-finals on July 14 at the Dallas stadium.
