Saudi cinemas are set to receive 15 new films in July, led by the famous fictional character Spider-Man in 'Spider-Man: A Brand New Day', which premieres on July 30. The film follows a phase in the life of Peter Parker, the protagonist, after he becomes alone in New York City, dedicating himself to fighting crime while facing a mysterious physical transformation that threatens his existence. The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and is a continuation of the parts Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. The month's offerings include a great diversity in cinematic arts locally, Arab, and globally, as visitors have access to a group of works under the categories of action, horror, comedy, in addition to animated works. Among the works released on July 9 is the Saudi film 'Depth', a documentary drama that explores the biography and professional career of Saudi diver Ahmed Al-Jaber, offering a different cinematic reading of one of the most dangerous professions in the world: maintaining oil pipelines in the deep sea. Also, the giant screen theaters feature the Saudi film 'Butterfly Effect Azzam', an animated film that tells the story of 'Azzam', an introverted and screen-addicted person who crosses a light portal to move from his limited reality to the world of butterflies.
