The Q2 2026 business bulletin revealed that promising technical activities continue to record strong growth rates, led by artificial intelligence technologies and cloud computing services, amid accelerating digital transformation and support for the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the digital economy and enhance the investment environment.

The bulletin showed that the number of existing commercial records in artificial intelligence technologies rose to 22,591 by the end of Q2 2026, compared to 16,908 records during the same period in 2025, reflecting the growth of investments in modern technologies and the expansion of companies operating in this sector.

In the cloud computing sector, the number of existing commercial records grew by 42%, reaching 6,802 records by the end of Q2 2026, compared to 4,763 records during the same period last year, driven by expanded reliance on cloud solutions and increased demand for digital infrastructure services.

Riyadh region also topped the kingdom's regions with 4,282 records in cloud computing services activity, followed by Makkah region with 1,294 records, then the Eastern Province with 698 records, Madinah with 196 records, and Qassim with 91 records.

The bulletin confirmed that the continuous growth in these activities enhances the competitiveness of the national economy, increases the contribution of the digital economy and non-oil sectors to GDP, supports attracting local and foreign investments, and creates new opportunities for the business sector, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
