Al Baha University achieved a new international achievement as its innovative research team from the College of Nursing won the Overall Performance Award in the final stage of the second International Competition on Artificial Intelligence in Education 2026, hosted by the University of Hong Kong for Education, in cooperation with a number of academic and technical entities in Hong Kong, China.
The achievement was made by the research team led by the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Wael bin Ahmed Saleh Al-Ghamdi, and members Dr. Walid Amin, Dr. Mohammad Naeem, and Dr. Ghada Abdelhalim, for their innovative project titled: "A Proactive AI Early Warning Agent for Health Colleges Students." The project aims to employ AI technologies in developing a proactive system for monitoring early indicators that contribute to supporting students of health colleges, thereby enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and raising the efficiency of the academic process.
This achievement reflects the growing presence of Al Baha University in the fields of scientific research and innovation, and embodies the ability of national competencies to compete in international forums, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in supporting innovation and the knowledge economy.
