Engineer Abdullah Al-Suwaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a series of meetings and visits with a number of major technology companies and institutions in Shenzhen, China, in the presence of Engineer Haitham Al-Ohali, Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission; Engineer Ahmed Al-Suwaian, Governor of the Digital Government Authority; and Faisal Al-Khamisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones.

The ministry stated in a statement on its official account on the "X" platform that the meeting discussed partnership opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, robotics, cloud solutions, capacity development, and support for the technical innovation ecosystem and digital entrepreneurship.

The ministry added that the Minister of Communications also met with David Wang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huawei, and discussed opportunities to expand partnership in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, and technical capacity development, enhancing the partnership in advanced technologies.

The Minister of Communications also visited the KAUST Innovation Center in Shenzhen, met with entrepreneurs participating in the ninth batch of the Tech Founders program, reviewed their projects and innovations, and discussed opportunities to enable Saudi startups to access Shenzhen's ecosystem in technology, manufacturing, and investment, enhancing their global expansion and competitiveness.

These meetings and visits come within the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen international partnerships with major technology companies and institutions, accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, empower national talents, and support the growth of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, enhancing the Kingdom's position as a global hub for the digital economy and artificial intelligence.
