Shinzen 25 Muharram 1448 AH corresponding to July 10, 2026 AD, SPA. His Excellency Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, in the presence of His Excellency Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, Engineer Haitham Al-Ohali, His Excellency Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Engineer Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, Faisal Al-Khamisi, held a series of meetings and visits with a number of major technology companies and institutions in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, to discuss partnership opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, robotics, cloud solutions, capacity development, and support for the technical innovation ecosystem and digital entrepreneurship. His Excellency met with the Chairman of the Board of Huawei, David Wang, and discussed opportunities to expand the partnership in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, and technical capacity development, to enhance the partnership in advanced technologies. He also met with (20) male and female students of national talents, after they completed a specialized training program in artificial intelligence organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" in partnership with Huawei at its headquarters in Shenzhen, and discussed with them the future of artificial intelligence, the role of national competencies in supporting the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and the importance of investing in future skills and technologies. In the context of enhancing global partnerships in future technologies, His Excellency met with the leaders of UBTECH Robotics, and reviewed its latest innovations in the field of robotics, and discussed partnership opportunities in employing intelligent robots and advanced technologies to accelerate technical innovation and enhance the competitiveness of the digital economy. He also met with the founder, chairman, and CEO of Intellifusion, Dr. Chen Ning, and discussed cooperation opportunities in artificial intelligence, inference chips, computer vision, and smart city solutions, to support the development of more efficient and sustainable digital services. His Excellency visited the KAUST Innovation Center in Shenzhen, met with entrepreneurs participating in the ninth batch of the Tech Founders program, reviewed their projects and innovations, and discussed opportunities to enable Saudi startups to access the Shenzhen ecosystem in technology, manufacturing, and investment, to enhance their global expansion and competitiveness.
