Apple is preparing to enter the foldable phone market, and the latest leaks indicate that the foldable iPhone Ultra will feature a dual battery system: two cells with capacities of 1921 mAh and 2962 mAh, bringing the total capacity to approximately 4883 mAh.

According to the leak posted by DigitalChatStation on Weibo, the specifications of these batteries have already been registered by the company, while earlier leaks suggested that the total capacity would range between 4800 and 5000 mAh.

Although the battery capacity of the new Apple phone is lower than that of large foldable phones like the Huawei Pura X Max, which has a 5300 mAh battery, the dual system offers important technical advantages; the separate cells contribute to faster charging, better heat distribution, and a thinner and lighter internal design.

However, leaks indicate that the foldable iPhone Ultra will be smaller than the iPhone 18 Pro Max in terms of battery, as early predictions suggest that the latter may come with a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of up to 7000 mAh.

Therefore, those seeking the strongest battery performance may prefer to purchase the new generation of Pro Max phones when available.

Apple is preparing to produce 10 million foldable iPhones in 2026-2027

These specifications remain within the realm of leaks until Apple's official announcement about its first foldable devices in the coming period.
