Apple has raised the prices of its iCloud+ subscription service in eight countries around the world, including Egypt and Turkey, as part of a new review of its digital service prices to keep pace with exchange rate fluctuations and the rising value of the dollar against several local currencies.

The increases also included Nigeria, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and New Zealand, with the percentage increase ranging between 11% and 55%, depending on the country and storage plan capacity.

In Egypt, the price of the 50GB plan rose from 40 to 50 Egyptian pounds per month, an increase of about 25%, while the 200GB plan increased from 150 to 180 pounds, and the 2TB plan from 500 to 600 pounds. Additionally, the prices of the 6TB and 12TB plans increased to 1,800 and 3,600 pounds, respectively.

In Turkey, the price of the 50GB plan rose from about 40 to 50 lira, while the 200GB plan increased to 170 lira, and the 2TB plan to 550 lira, with increases also affecting higher capacity plans.

Apple explained that these adjustments are a result of currency fluctuations in several markets, confirming that it has not made any changes to the service prices in the United States or in countries not included in the decision. The service offers all Apple device users a free storage space of 5GB, while iCloud+ subscriptions provide larger spaces, along with additional features such as email hiding and enhanced online privacy.
