Science and Technology / Digital Government Participates in AI SandboX Initiative to Enhance Government Integration and Digital Innovation

Riyadh, Muharram 22, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 7, 2026, SPA -- The Digital Government Authority participated in the Artificial Intelligence Sandbox Initiative in Digital Education (AI SandboX), in support of government integration and enabling digital innovation. The initiative is led by the National Center for E-Learning, as part of an integrated national system aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI solutions, enhancing digital transformation, and supporting the development of government services. The Authority’s participation stems from its role in strengthening digital governance, enabling government entities to adopt emerging technologies, and contributing to the development of innovation-friendly digital environments, thereby supporting the integration of national efforts and enhancing the efficiency of government services according to the best global practices. The initiative has gained international recognition, as the World Bank's 2026 report praised Saudi Arabia’s experience in employing AI in the education sector, affirming that it represents a pioneering national model that countries and educational systems can benefit from in developing responsible innovation and enhancing the quality of digital education. This was within a study titled: 'The Artificial Intelligence Sandbox in Digital Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Driving Social and Economic Impact through AI Innovation in Education.'

This participation reflects the Digital Government Authority's commitment to supporting national initiatives that enhance integration among government entities, enable the adoption of innovative digital solutions, and contribute to solidifying Saudi Arabia's position as a global model in employing modern technologies to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. // End // 23:36 T M 0230
