SpaceX launched 29 new satellites for its Starlink constellation today, which is designed to provide high-speed internet services worldwide.

The company said in a statement that a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, carrying the satellites to low Earth orbit.

The rocket's first stage successfully returned to Earth about 8.5 minutes after liftoff, landing on a company drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

Meanwhile, the rocket's upper stage continued its mission, carrying the 29 satellites to low Earth orbit before deploying them about 63.5 minutes after liftoff.

This launch marks the 80th Falcon 9 mission in 2026, part of the company's intensive launch program. SpaceX has dedicated about 80% of its Falcon 9 flights this year to expanding the Starlink network, which is the largest satellite constellation ever assembled.
