Geneva, July 11 (QNA) - Several key players in the music industry have launched an initiative to adopt two new labels distinguishing music works produced with artificial intelligence: "AI-generated" for works whose most creative content relies on AI, and "AI-assisted" for works that maintain a substantial human contribution while using technology in some elements.

The initiative, led by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) - a global non-profit organization concerned with recorded music industry, founded in 1933 and headquartered in Switzerland - and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and other partners, seeks to adopt these labels on music streaming platforms, distributors, and standards-setting bodies, in a step aimed at enhancing transparency regarding AI-generated music content.
