Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, believes that artificial intelligence will bring radical transformations to the job market, but ultimately it will create more job opportunities and make creativity the most in-demand skill in the future.

In an interview on the sidelines of the SuperAI conference in Singapore, Siu explained that humans are 'born creative by nature, but we lose that creativity due to our constant attempts to fit into rigid systems that require performing repetitive tasks.'

He added that AI might allow us to regain this aspect: 'In the optimistic view, this means we will become free to practice creativity, while machines take over routine tasks.'

Animoca's portfolio, founded by Siu in 2014, includes more than 600 companies operating in gaming, decentralized finance, and digital assets.

Siu affirmed that AI will lead to 'creating more jobs' despite his expectation of some disruptions in the job market.

He said: 'The superpower of AI is that it can code, and over time its coding ability will surpass humans. We will reach a stage where efficiency and intelligence become commodities available to everyone, making creativity and human coordination the most important skills.'

Despite recent warnings from AI companies about the risks associated with technology, Siu indicated he leans toward an optimistic view: 'Most people will use AI in beneficial ways. Yes, there are those who may misuse it and must be stopped, but I don't see it as a nuclear arms race.'

With this shift, it seems that the job market in the AI era will increasingly focus on human creativity, while machines handle routine and repetitive tasks.
