Samsung has issued a guide explaining how to set up and use Samsung Wallet on Galaxy Watch for contactless payments and accessing identity cards, membership cards, and boarding passes, ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22.

Complete setup via a Galaxy phone by adding a compatible payment card.

The guide allows making payments directly from the watch after setting up the service by long-pressing the Back button and activating the screen lock, then adding a compatible payment card via a Galaxy phone. The user can also select the desired card and bring the watch near the payment terminal to complete the transaction.

The service also supports adding identity cards, membership cards, boarding passes, and public transport cards after registering them in the app via the phone, a step that enhances the smartwatch's capabilities as an integrated digital wallet.

This announcement comes as part of Samsung's preparations to unveil the latest Galaxy devices during the Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be live-streamed on the company's digital platforms.
