The second edition of the Amd Hackathon, held in partnership between Tuwaiq Academy and Alinma, achieved a new Guinness World Record, becoming the largest hackathon in the world in the field of financial technology, with over 6,000 participants in-person and remotely, and more than 2,800 teams from various regions of the Kingdom. This achievement came during the second edition of the Amd Hackathon, which recently concluded after three days of competition at the 'Garage' headquarters in Riyadh, where participants presented more than 2,800 innovative projects in the field of financial technology, across six diverse tracks: Generative AI for FinTech, Customer Experience, Financial Education, Open Banking, Gamification, and Financial Regulations. This record extends a series of achievements by Tuwaiq Academy in the Guinness World Records through various tech camps and competitions, reflecting the Kingdom's advanced position and global leadership in hosting the largest tech events and activities. It is worth noting that the Amd Hackathon in its first edition in 2025 set a record as the largest hackathon in Riyadh, before achieving an unprecedented global feat in its second edition in 2026 by recording the largest hackathon in the world in the field of financial technology, affirming its status as a leading and increasingly successful platform in this field at the Kingdom and global levels.
