Riyadh, Safar 05, 1448 AH corresponding to July 19, 2026 SPA – The second edition of the "Emd" Hackathon, held in partnership between Tuwaiq Academy and Alinma, has set a new Guinness World Record, becoming the world's largest fintech hackathon with the participation of more than 6,000 in-person and remote participants and over 2,800 teams from various regions of the Kingdom. This achievement came during the second edition of the "Emd" Hackathon, which concluded recently after three days of competition at "Al-Karaj" headquarters in Riyadh. Participants presented more than 2,800 innovative projects in fintech across six diverse tracks: generative AI for fintech, customer experience, financial education, open banking, gamification, and financial regulations. This record extends the series of achievements by Tuwaiq Academy in the Guinness World Records across its various tech camps and competitions, reflecting the Kingdom's advanced position and global leadership in hosting the largest tech events and activities.
