The International Center for Research and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (ICAIRE) was awarded an excellence certificate as part of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 Awards, organized by the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva, for its AI and Data Glossary in the category of cultural diversity, identity, linguistic diversity, and local content, in recognition of its contribution to supporting linguistic and cultural diversity and enhancing the presence of the Arabic language in the fields of data and artificial intelligence.

The interactive glossary contains more than 1,200 terms in the fields of data and artificial intelligence.

The glossary, launched by the center in collaboration with the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), is a knowledge reference that contributes to preserving the Arabic language, enriching Arabic content with technical terms and concepts, spreading awareness of modern concepts, and unifying specialized terminology to serve the development of the digital economy and build a sustainable knowledge future.

The interactive glossary contains more than 1,200 terms in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, and allows them to be viewed in three languages: Arabic, English, and French, along with the possibility of interacting with it, which enhances knowledge exchange, supports the unification of efforts among scientific and technical institutions at the regional and international levels, and contributes to enabling researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers to access accurate and reliable terminology.

This international recognition reflects the growing status of the International Center for Research and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (ICAIRE) as a Category 2 international center under the auspices of UNESCO in Riyadh, and its role in developing qualitative initiatives that combine artificial intelligence ethics with the preservation of cultural and linguistic diversity.
