The General Administration for Children at King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh launched the 'Generation AI' summer camp, a pioneering initiative aimed at developing the skills of children, adolescents, and youth in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation, through an educational experience combining technical, cultural, and recreational aspects.

The camp targets the age group from 9 to 15 years, and offers an integrated training program spanning eight training days, from July 12 to August 5, 2026, with two days per week. Participants will learn the basics of robotics, programming, game design, and 3D printing, along with cultural and recreational activities that enhance creative thinking, teamwork, leadership, and communication.

The Director of the General Administration for Children at King Abdulaziz Public Library, Ms. Sundus Al-Sharif, confirmed that the camp stems from the administration's keenness to provide innovative programs that align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, and contribute to preparing a generation equipped with future skills, through an interactive learning environment based on practical application, fostering a spirit of innovation and discovery among children and adolescents.

She added that the program is not limited to teaching technical skills, but also focuses on building character, enhancing self-confidence, and refining presentation and critical thinking skills, thereby achieving an integrated educational experience that enriches participants cognitively and skillfully.

The camp concludes with a presentation of the projects completed by participants before a judging panel, reflecting the knowledge and skills they have acquired, and underscoring the importance of investing in young energies and nurturing a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations.

It is worth noting that King Abdulaziz Public Library offers multiple programs for children and youth, including skills development and artistic talents, reading programs, introduction to handicrafts through children's workshops, drawing and calligraphy development, children's theater performances, as well as new, specialized publications of stories and books that enrich children's culture.
