The General Administration for Children at King Abdulaziz Public Library in Riyadh has launched the 'AI Generation' Summer Camp, a qualitative initiative aimed at developing the skills of children, adolescents, and youth in technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation, through an educational experience that combines technical, cultural, and recreational aspects.

The camp targets the age group from 9 to 15 years and offers a comprehensive training program spanning eight training days, from July 12 to August 5, 2026, with two days per week. Participants will learn the basics of robotics, programming, game design, and 3D printing, alongside cultural and recreational activities that enhance creative thinking, teamwork, leadership, and communication.

Sundus Al-Sharif, Director of the General Administration for Children at King Abdulaziz Public Library, affirmed that the camp stems from the administration's keenness to provide quality programs that align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and contribute to preparing a generation with future skills through an interactive educational environment based on practical application, fostering a spirit of innovation and discovery among children and adolescents. She added that the program is not limited to teaching technical skills, but also focuses on building character, enhancing self-confidence, and refining presentation and critical thinking skills, thus achieving an integrated educational experience that enriches participants knowledge-wise and skill-wise.

The camp concludes with a presentation of the projects completed by participants before a judging panel, reflecting the knowledge and skills they have acquired and underscoring the importance of investing in young energies and creating a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations. It is worth mentioning that King Abdulaziz Public Library offers multiple programs for children and youth, including developing artistic skills and talents, reading programs, learning about handicrafts through specialized children's workshops, drawing and calligraphy improvement, presenting children's theater performances, as well as new qualitative publications of stories and books that enrich children's culture.
