The LEAP tech conference, one of the world's leading conferences, is reinforcing its position as an international platform for technology and innovation, with its first edition outside the Kingdom in Hong Kong. The event began in Riyadh in 2022, organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf Company in partnership with Informa Global and the Investment Events Fund.

The first international edition, named "LEAP East 2026", was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and will continue until July 10. It was organized in cooperation with the Hong Kong government and saw the participation of a select group of experts specializing in technology and artificial intelligence.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation, Faisal Al-Khamisi, explained in his opening speech the importance of the conference and its continued success since its first edition in Riyadh during the COVID-19 pandemic. Al-Khamisi noted that LEAP has transcended being a traditional tech event to become an active and influential movement in the global tech sector.

Al-Khamisi emphasized that choosing Hong Kong to host the international edition reflects the city's distinction as a major gateway to Asia and its notable activity in advanced tech sectors. He stressed that this event contributes to enhancing technical cooperation and exchanging expertise between the Middle East and Asia.
