Ministry of Commerce and Industry Launches 'AI Agent Factory' System in Collaboration with Microsoft

Doha, February 07 (QNA) - The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Microsoft, announced the launch of its 'AI Agent Factory' system, an integrated digital platform dedicated to producing, developing, managing, and deploying intelligent solutions based on AI agents, contributing to improving the efficiency of government services and developing work mechanisms.

In a statement today, the ministry said that this initiative is part of its efforts to enhance the digital transformation journey, raise the efficiency of government services in all stages, and improve the experience of beneficiaries, including individuals and businesses, through adopting modern technologies that keep pace with best global practices in the field of artificial intelligence.

The 'AI Agent Factory' system has been developed using Microsoft technologies, with the aim of enabling faster and more flexible development and deployment of intelligent agents, thereby offering innovative digital capabilities across various government services, in addition to supporting seamless integration with internal and external systems, ensuring unified processes and consistent service experiences within and outside the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Director of Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, emphasized that the launch of this system represents a pivotal step within the ministry's efforts to comprehensively automate and modernize government operations, and to leverage advanced artificial intelligence technologies to enhance operational efficiency levels, support decision-making, expand the scope of smart services provided, and improve their quality.

For his part, Ahmad Al-Dandashi, General Manager of Microsoft Qatar, expressed his pride in supporting the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in adopting AI agent-based technologies on a national scale, affirming that combining Microsoft's capabilities in artificial intelligence with the ministry's vision for next-generation government services based on AI agents will accelerate digital transformation and achieve sustainable impact for institutions, businesses, and society.

The ministry clarified that with the completion of the technical and organizational infrastructure of the system, it will continue to work with Microsoft to develop and expand the capabilities of the 'AI Agent Factory' system, and launch more services supported by intelligent agents in the coming period, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 for digital transformation and enhancing innovation in the government sector.
