Nothing has officially announced its new Nothing Phone 4b in the budget category, featuring a distinctive design and a set of improvements in performance, battery, and AI support.

The phone retains the company's design identity, featuring a wide rear camera module with two lenses, along with the new Glyph lighting strip consisting of 45 small LED lights that display phone notifications, charging status, video recording, and custom alerts.

The plastic back cover features visible screws and metal-like elements, along with a circular cavity inspired by the company's CMF phones. The phone supports IP64 dust and splash resistance, and Nothing confirms it can withstand submersion in water up to 25 cm deep for up to 20 minutes.

The Nothing Phone 4b comes with a 6.77-inch OLED display with high resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, with brightness up to 1200 nits outdoors.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and internal storage options of 128GB or 256GB.

The new processor offers an 11% performance increase over the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, thanks to the use of modern Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores, as well as a 29% improvement in graphics performance, plus a neural processing unit that supports on-device AI features.

Nothing equipped the phone with a 6000mAh battery in the Indian market, while the global version comes with a smaller 5200mAh battery.

The company confirms that the battery retains about 90% of its original capacity after 1200 charge cycles, a rate that exceeds what companies like Apple and Google claim, which typically guarantee 80% capacity after 1000 cycles.

The phone supports 33W wired charging, taking about 80 minutes to reach full charge.

The phone features a 50MP main camera with a 1/2.76-inch sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view, while the front camera is 16MP for selfies and video calls.

The phone also includes stereo speakers, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the Essential Key for quick access to the company's smart features.

The device runs on Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, with features like Essential Space, Essential Apps, and Essential Voice, and the company promises three major Android updates and six years of security updates.

The Nothing Phone 4b starts at £299 in the UK and €329 in Europe, and is available in three colors: blue, white, and black. Sales will begin on July 17, 2026.
