Samsung to Launch One UI 9 with Gemini Intelligence
Samsung announced that its upcoming foldable phones will feature the new One UI 9 interface, powered by Google's Gemini Intelligence AI framework, during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in a few days.
The new release marks the first real commercial launch of Gemini Intelligence within the operating system, a step reflecting Samsung's direction to enhance user experience through integrated AI in Android.
Gemini Intelligence is not just a chatbot or a separate app; it represents an integrated AI layer within the system, enabling broader capabilities in managing daily tasks, such as app automation, improved autofill recommendations, smart search within the gallery, and developing user-specific tools within a unified experience.

However, not all Galaxy devices will be eligible to fully benefit from Gemini Intelligence; the system requires flagship processors, at least 12GB of RAM, AI Core support, as well as the presence of Gemini Nano v3.
This means that the full AI experience will be limited to a specific range of Samsung devices, especially the new models in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 series.
Many of Samsung's flagship phones are expected to receive the One UI 9 update, but the advanced AI features will only be available on devices equipped with the required specifications.
