Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, in the presence of His Excellency Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, Eng. Haitham Al-Ohali, and His Excellency the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the People's Republic of China, Mr. Abdulrahman Ahmed Al-Harbi, held a series of meetings in the People's Republic of China with government and executive leaders to discuss partnership prospects in artificial intelligence, digital economy, technology transfer, space, and emerging technologies, thereby enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries. His Excellency met with the Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Yin Hejun, and the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital economy, technology transfer, and talent exchange programs, in addition to expanding the presence of major Chinese technology companies in the Kingdom. In the space sector, His Excellency met with His Excellency Dr. Shan Zhongde, Chairman of the China National Space Administration and Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and discussed opportunities for cooperation in space technologies, expanding partnership areas in innovation, and developing capabilities related to the sector. His Excellency also met with the executive management of Moonshot AI, the developer of the Kimi LLM model, and discussed the development of large language models and generative technologies powered by artificial intelligence, in addition to technology transfer and commercialization, supporting the growth of the digital economy and emerging technologies in the Kingdom. His Excellency also met with Mr. Lidong Zhang, Chairman of the Board of ByteDance China, and discussed cooperation in generative AI, data centers, algorithm development and large language models, and expanding the company's presence in the Kingdom, contributing to the development of the technical innovation ecosystem and enhancing the competitiveness of the digital economy.
