Seoul, Safar 01, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 15, 2026 AD, SPA – His Excellency Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Suwaha, in the presence of His Excellency Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, Engineer Haitham Al-Ohali, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, Faisal Al-Khamisi, held a series of meetings with leaders of technology companies and investors in the Republic of Korea to discuss partnership prospects in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, cloud computing, and software, enhancing cooperation between the two countries in future technologies. His Excellency began his meetings by participating in an expanded dialogue session with the Korean Association for Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry (KOSA), chaired by Jun Hee Jo, with the participation of a number of Korean companies. He discussed partnership opportunities in artificial intelligence, software, cloud computing, development of digital government services, enhancing integration between companies in the two countries, and developing technical talents. His Excellency also met with the leadership of Samsung Electronics and discussed expanding partnership in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, sixth-generation (6G) technologies, as well as localization of advanced technologies and development of national capabilities, enhancing the Kingdom's position as a global center for artificial intelligence. His Excellency also met with the Chairman and CEO of SK Group, Chey Tae-won, and discussed expanding partnership in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, data centers, digital infrastructure, and exploring opportunities for joint investment and innovation, enhancing the growth of the digital economy. His Excellency concluded his meetings with a gathering of elite investors and leaders of technology companies in the Republic of Korea, discussing building strategic partnerships between the technology ecosystems of the two countries, expanding joint investment opportunities, and connecting Saudi companies and talents with Korean expertise in artificial intelligence, software, and advanced technologies.
