Seoul, Safar 01, 1448 AH corresponding to July 15, 2026 SPA - His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, Engineer Haitham Al-Ohali, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, Faisal Al-Khamisi, held a series of meetings with leaders of technology companies and investors in the Republic of Korea to discuss the prospects for partnership in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, cloud computing, and software, enhancing cooperation between the two countries in future technologies. His Excellency began his meetings by participating in an expanded dialogue session with the Korea Software and AI Industry Association (KOSA) chaired by Jun Hee-jo, with the participation of a number of Korean companies, during which they discussed opportunities for partnership in artificial intelligence, software, cloud computing, development of digital government services, enhancing integration between companies in the two countries, and developing technical talents. His Excellency also met with the leadership of Samsung Electronics and discussed expanding the partnership in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and sixth-generation (6G) technologies, in addition to localizing advanced technologies and developing national capabilities, enhancing the Kingdom's position as a global center for artificial intelligence. His Excellency also met with the Chairman and CEO of SK Group, Chey Tae-won, and discussed expanding the partnership in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, data centers, digital infrastructure, and exploring investment and joint innovation opportunities, enhancing the growth of the digital economy. His Excellency concluded his meetings with a meeting with an elite group of investors and leaders of technology companies in the Republic of Korea, and discussed building qualitative partnerships between the technology ecosystems in the two countries, expanding joint investment opportunities, and linking Saudi companies and talents with Korean competencies and expertise in the fields of artificial intelligence, software, and advanced technologies.
