Buraydah, Muharram 28, 1448 AH corresponding to July 13, 2026, SPA — His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, praised the global achievement made by Qassim University by winning first place globally in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS Prizes 2026), held in Geneva, Switzerland, through the (QSpark) project, which gained distinction among the best global projects in the e-learning category. His Highness commended the university's global presence, reflecting the support and attention that the education system in the Kingdom receives from the wise leadership — may God support them — stressing that this achievement adds to the record of national successes that enhance the Kingdom's position in the fields of innovation, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. The Governor of Qassim Region appreciated the efforts of the university administration and its staff, and their qualitative work that contributed to achieving this international accomplishment, noting that competing with an elite group of global projects and winning first place reflects the efficiency of national cadres and their ability to provide innovative educational models with global impact.
