The National Center of Meteorology warned in its weather report of a heatwave and raised dust in the Eastern Region today, Wednesday.

The heatwave begins at 11 AM and continues until 5 PM.

The warning includes: Al-Ahsa, Al-Eid, Buqayq, Dhu'abloutin, Al-Khafji, An-Nu'ayriyah, Qaryat al-Ulya, and Hafr Al-Batin. It is accompanied by high temperatures ranging from (47-48) degrees Celsius in some places, and (49-50) degrees Celsius in others.

Raised dust

Parts of the Eastern Region will experience raised dust from 11 AM until 9 PM. The warning includes: Al-Khafji, An-Nu'ayriyah, Qaryat al-Ulya, Al-Ahsa, Al-Eid, Buqayq, Dhu'abloutin, Al-Jubail, Al-Khobar, Dammam, Al-Qatif, and Ras Tanura. The associated impacts include active winds and near-zero horizontal visibility (1-3 kilometers).

Wednesday's weather

The National Center of Meteorology expects in its weather report today, Wednesday, for the Kingdom's regions, continued thunderstorm rains accompanied by hail showers and active winds over parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region. Meanwhile, maximum temperatures remain high over parts of the Eastern and Riyadh regions. Active winds raising dust and sand affect parts of those regions, as well as parts of Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk regions.
