Heat approaching 50°C: 'Meteorology' warns of heatwave in Eastern Province
The National Center of Meteorology warned today of a heatwave reaching (49-50) degrees Celsius in the Eastern Province.
This includes the cities of Dammam and Dhahran, and the governorates of Hafr Al-Batin, Khafji, Nuairiyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Qatif, Khobar, Buqayq, Al Nadey, Dha'balutan, Al Ahsa, and their affiliated villages and centers, causing dust stirring and reduced horizontal visibility on highways and open areas.

The center stated that this situation will continue until 5:00 pm.
Kingdom's weather
The National Center of Meteorology in its report on today's Tuesday weather conditions across the Kingdom expects that maximum temperatures will remain high in parts of the Eastern Province, extending to parts of Riyadh region. Meanwhile, the chance remains for thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al Baha regions, as well as the southern highlands of Makkah region.
