Moon Conjunction with Antares and Alniyat Adorns Kingdom's Sky
Moon conjunction with Antares and Alniyat adorns the sky of the Kingdom
This evening, the conjunction of the moon with the stars Antares and Alniyat was observed in the sky of the Northern Borders region, in a striking astronomical scene that could be seen with the naked eye in clear weather.
Antares is the brightest star in the Scorpius constellation, distinguished by its red color, while the star Alniyat appears near it within the same constellation, forming with the moon a celestial view that attracts the interest of astronomy and observation enthusiasts.
Adnan Khalifa, a member of the Astronomy and Space Club, explained that this conjunction is one of the natural astronomical phenomena that occur repeatedly due to the apparent motion of the moon in its orbit around the Earth, and it has no effects on planet Earth, noting that such phenomena contribute to enhancing interest in astronomy sciences and provide enthusiasts with an opportunity to observe celestial bodies and learn about their positions in the sky.
He pointed out that the clear weather in the Northern Borders region contributed to the clarity of observing the phenomenon, allowing those interested in astrophotography and observation enthusiasts to follow and enjoy this celestial scene.
