The summer program in the Kingdom for this year, July 2026, which seeks to achieve the targets of Saudi Vision, includes 6 main destinations: Asir, the Red Sea, Jeddah, Riyadh, Taif, and Al Baha. Located on the western border of the Kingdom except for Riyadh, which is in the center, the destinations are:

- Asir: High mountains in the Sarawat range, home to Saudi Arabia's highest peaks, the Al Souda Mountains at 3,015 meters, as well as the Tihama plain and Red Sea beaches.

- Red Sea: Long beaches stretching from Tabuk to Jazan, a length of 2,600 km. Six administrative regions out of 13 are located on the Red Sea. The six regions overlooking the sea are: Tabuk, Al Madinah, Makkah, Al Baha, Asir, Jazan. In addition to inhabited islands, tourist resorts, and clear coral reefs.

- Jeddah: The second most populous city in the Kingdom and its largest port, considered the capital of commercial ports. It is the sea and air gateway of the Makkah region for Hajj and Umrah.

- Riyadh: The administrative and economic capital of the Kingdom, among the top 24 cities globally in the Smart Cities Index issued by the International Institute for Management Development. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, relevant authorities are working to enhance the capital's competitiveness to become one of the world's top 100 most livable cities, supported by major projects.

- Taif: Historically the capital of the Kingdom's summer resorts, it is the northern end of the Sarawat Mountains, which begin in Jazan. It overlooks the beginning of the Hejaz Mountains, and its importance lies in its proximity to Makkah and its connection to the history of the Prophet's biography.

- Al Baha: A mountainous region within the Sarawat range and the low Tihama plain, it is one of the Kingdom's most important summer resorts. It is known for its high mountain elevations and agriculture, especially coffee cultivation and production (Saudi coffee), dense forests, and rainfall.

The regions of Asir, Al Baha, Taif, and the southern Red Sea coasts are characterized by rainfall in the summer and autumn of each year, which enhances tourist attraction, in addition to the moderate and cool weather in the high mountains towards the west of the Red Sea and the Tihama plain, as well as the eastern highlands overlooking deep valleys, with canyons between mountains, dense forests, and green steppes.

Saudi Arabia launched a tourist package visa for citizens of 7 countries in July 2026. Tourism authorities and private sector marketing firms say: Ultimately, 'Saudi Summer 2026' goes beyond seasonal events to reflect a profound transformation in the concept of tourism towards a sustainable economic industry. This transformation is based on destination diversity, service integration, and product development, improving quality of life, increasing spending, and developing the local economy, cementing the Kingdom's position as a competitive global destination year-round, in line with the targets of 'Saudi Vision 2030'.
