The National Center of Meteorology announced the details of the expected weather conditions for Sunday in the Kingdom, warning of thunderstorms and dust-raising winds in parts of 8 regions.

According to the meteorology statement, active dust- and sand-raising winds continue to affect parts of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Najran, as well as parts of Makkah and Madinah regions, reaching near-zero horizontal visibility on the coastal road leading to Jazan.

Thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers and active winds are still expected in parts of Jazan and Asir regions, extending to parts of Al Baha region. Meanwhile, maximum temperatures remain high in parts of the Eastern Province, and fog is not ruled out during the early morning hours over its southern coastal parts.

Red Sea

Surface winds: Southwesterly to northwesterly at 10-28 km/h over the northern part, and northwesterly to northerly at 25-50 km/h over the central and southern parts.

Wave height: 0.5 to 1 meter over the northern part, and 1 to 2.5 meters over the central and southern parts.

Sea state: Light waves over the northern part, and moderate to rough waves over the central and southern parts.

Arabian Gulf

Surface winds: Northwesterly to southwesterly at 12-38 km/h over the northern part, and southeasterly to southwesterly at 10-30 km/h over the central and southern parts.

Wave height: 0.5 to 1.5 meters

Sea state: Light to moderate waves.
