The National Center of Meteorology expected in its report on today's weather - God willing - continued thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region. Meanwhile, maximum temperatures remain high in parts of the Eastern Province and Riyadh region, while active winds stirring dust and sand affect parts of those regions as well as parts of Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk regions. The report indicated that surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at 12-38 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to northeasterly at 10-28 km/h, reaching over 50 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from half a meter to one meter, reaching over two meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. Sea state will be light to moderate waves in the northern and central parts, and light waves reaching turbulent with the formation of rainy thunderclouds in the southern part. In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to westerly at 15-40 km/h in the northern part, and northeasterly to northwesterly at 10-28 km/h in the central and southern parts. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern part, and from half a meter to one meter in the central and southern parts. Sea state will be light to moderate waves in the northern part and light waves in the central and southern parts.
