Sunday's Weather Varied: Extreme Heat in Two Regions and Rain in Four Regions
The National Center of Meteorology announced the details of the expected weather conditions for Sunday in the Kingdom, warning of varying conditions as hot weather prevails in two regions, while rain falls in four regions.
According to the meteorology statement, hot to extremely hot weather prevails in parts of the Eastern Province and Medina regions, while the effect of active winds raising dust and sand continues in parts of those regions, as well as in parts of Najran, Riyadh, Makkah, and on the coastal road leading to Jazan.
Meanwhile, the opportunity remains for thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha regions, extending to the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region.
Red Sea
Surface winds: North to northwest at 15-45 km/h over the northern and central parts, and southwest to northwest at 12-34 km/h reaching 50 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.
Wave height: From half a meter to one and a half meters, reaching over two meters in the central part as well with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.
Sea state: Light to moderate waves, becoming choppy in the central part as well with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.
Arabian Gulf
Surface winds: Northwest to west at 15-32 km/h.
Wave height: From half a meter to one and a half meters.
Sea state: Light to moderate waves.
