Urgent - Heatwave, winds, and dust stirred in Eastern Province.. Temperature approaches 48°C
The National Center for Meteorology today warned of a heatwave in the Eastern Province reaching (47-48) degrees Celsius, accompanied by active winds with speeds between (50-59) km/h.
The heatwave includes the cities of Dammam and Dhahran, and the governorates: Hafr Al-Batin, Al-Khafji, Al-Nuayriyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Al-Qatif, Al-Khobar, Abqaiq, Al-`Udayd, Dha'balutan, Al-Ahsa, and their affiliated villages and centers, causing dust stirring and reduced horizontal visibility (1-3) km on highways and open areas, and wave height increase in coastal areas.

Weather of the Kingdom
The National Center for Meteorology expects in its report on the weather condition today, Tuesday, in the regions of the Kingdom, that maximum temperatures will remain high in parts of Makkah, Madinah and Eastern regions, and the impact of active dust-stirring winds continues on parts of those regions, as well as parts of Riyadh and Najran regions, and the eastern parts of the southwestern highlands of the Kingdom. While there is a chance of thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha regions, extending to the southern parts of the highlands of Makkah region.
