The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) expects thunderstorms accompanied by active winds today (Wednesday) in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, and the southern parts of the Makkah highlands.

The center noted the continued impact of active winds stirring up dust and sand in parts of Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Al Qassim, Riyadh, and Najran, as well as on the coastal road leading to Jazan, with near-zero horizontal visibility in parts of the Eastern Province.

It indicated that surface wind movement over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 20-40 km/h, reaching 50 km/h in the southern part.
