The US Central Command announced on Thursday the end of the 12th round of ongoing military strikes on Iran, which targeted Iranian military sites and capabilities.

In a statement, CENTCOM said that "at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time on July 22, US Central Command forces completed another round of strikes against Iran, for the 12th consecutive night."

It explained that "during this month, US forces have targeted dozens of Iranian land-based military sites, coinciding with the resumption of a naval blockade on Iran, where US forces have so far diverted 9 commercial vessels and disrupted one ship, to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports."

CENTCOM confirmed that "more than 50,000 US military personnel are deployed across the Middle East, on full alert and vigilance, maintaining high focus and combat readiness."

The Central Command released video footage it said documents precision strikes against Iranian military capabilities, but it was not possible to independently verify the locations or targets shown in the recordings.

New wave of strikes
