Ukrainian authorities announced today that one person was killed and 20 others were injured in Russian attacks targeting the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine.

The Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported that Russian forces carried out several strikes on the city using drones and artillery shelling, resulting in the death and injuries.

It added that the attacks damaged a number of residential buildings, gas stations, and infrastructure facilities, while emergency teams and relevant authorities began dealing with the aftermath of the shelling and assessing the extent of the damage.

The Russia-Ukraine crisis is witnessing a continuous escalation in mutual attacks, with both sides targeting oil facilities and critical infrastructure, in addition to using missiles and drones in military operations.

Both sides issue near-daily statements regarding field operations, the number of drones shot down, and human casualties, without such data being subject to independent verification.
