8 Injured, Including 4 Children, in New York Shooting
The New York City Police Department said that at least eight people, including four children, were shot late on American Independence Day (July 4) in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
The NYPD added in a statement to ABC News that officers received reports of shots fired at about 10:37 p.m. local time on Saturday (0237 GMT Sunday) on a street in Brooklyn.

The news network noted that the injured include two men, two women, and four children aged 14, 12, 7, and 6.
ABC News quoted the NYPD as saying that all the wounded were taken to hospitals. It added that seven of them are in stable condition, but a 21-year-old woman is in critical condition.
The network added, quoting the NYPD, that a firearm was found at the scene, but no arrests have been made.
