Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji held today a series of intensive diplomatic meetings on the sidelines of the third high-level forum on regional security and cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the European Union, held in the Belgian capital Brussels.

The meetings included his meeting with European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner, where bilateral relations were reviewed and topics of common interest were discussed.

Al-Khuraiji also met with European Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs Dubravka Šuica, and the meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in several fields, in addition to discussing topics of common interest.

Within the same framework, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) Alexandra Papadopoulou, and the meeting reviewed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them to serve the interests of the two countries, along with discussing developments on the regional and international arenas.

Al-Khuraiji also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, and the meeting focused on reviewing bilateral relations and ways to intensify bilateral and multilateral coordination on issues of common interest.

Al-Khuraiji also met with Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Andreas Kravik, and the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for joint cooperation, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent regional and international issues.

Concludingly, the Deputy Minister met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ambassador Musa Kulaklı Kaya, and the meeting discussed strengthening bilateral relations and intensifying coordination on common issues to achieve the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.

All meetings were attended by Head of the Kingdom's Mission to the European Union Ambassador Haifa Al-Jedaei, while Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Manal Radwan participated in some of them.
