The General Secretariat of the Arab League condemned the calls made by Israeli settler organizations to organize mass incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, coinciding with what these organizations call the 'anniversary of the destruction of the Temple', considering them a dangerous escalation and a clear violation of the historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement issued today, the Arab League affirmed that these calls represent an extension of systematic Israeli policies aimed at imposing illegal facts in occupied Jerusalem, holding Israel, as the occupying power, fully responsible for the repercussions and consequences of these violations.

The League called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, the United Nations, and UNESCO, to take urgent and immediate action to stop these violations and ensure full protection for the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

At the conclusion of its statement, the Arab League reaffirmed its unwavering position supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
