Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby affirmed the League's support for Sudan's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, the preservation of its national institutions, and the rejection of any external interference in its internal affairs.

During a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sudan, Mohieddin Salem, Elaraby stressed the importance of an immediate ceasefire, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, and protecting civilians, to pave the way for a Sudanese-Sudanese political process that achieves security, stability, and development.

The Secretary-General pointed to the readiness of the General Secretariat of the Arab League to support efforts aimed at ending the Sudanese crisis and to coordinate with regional and international parties in the interest of Sudan.

In the same context, during the call, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in Sudan, regional and international efforts to stop the war, and the position of the Sudanese government on the crisis and ways to resolve it.
