Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, received Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Egypt.

During the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed developments in the Middle East region and ways to enhance regional and international efforts aimed at ending escalation and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.

The two ministers also discussed the importance of working to consolidate sustainable security and stability in the region, in a manner that meets the aspirations of its peoples for development and prosperity.

The meeting also addressed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation to serve the common interests of the two countries and support their development goals.
