Iran evacuates 23 people from ship after collision in Strait of Hormuz
A cargo ship collided with another vessel, north of Qeshm Island, according to Iran's Fars news agency.

Iranian authorities evacuated 23 people from the foreign crew of a bulk carrier that took on water after colliding with another ship north of Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's semi-official Fars news agency reported that the cargo ship was involved in a collision with another vessel in the early hours of Tuesday, causing severe damage to its hull and leading to water ingress.
It added that after the ship's captain issued an emergency evacuation order, Iranian authorities were able to rescue all 23 foreign crew members and transfer them to Qeshm Island.
Iranian authorities did not disclose the identity of the ship or the nationalities of the rescued crew members.
