Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei, in response to statements by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about European countries' participation in the war against Iran, wrote: 'Europe must bear responsibility,' according to the German Press Agency.

The Iranian Mehr News Agency reported today, Thursday, citing Baqaei's post on his personal page on a social media platform in response to Mark Rutte's statements, saying: 'Mark Rutte's repeated admissions about European countries' involvement in the military aggression against Iran once again confirm that Europe was not neutral in this aggressive war.'

Baqaei said that 'the parties that placed their territories, bases, and infrastructure in Europe at the disposal of the US-Israeli military aggression cannot evade the responsibility for their complicity and its consequences.'

He added: 'But this continuous boasting of serving American bullying and its aggressive war is more than an indicator of strength and self-confidence; it reflects the mentality of a sycophant follower who believes that flattery can change the arrogant king's view.'
