Qatar National Library Discusses Enhancing Cooperation and Establishing Scientific Projects with the Arabic Manuscripts Institute
Doha, July 21 (QNA) – Qatar National Library and the Arabic Manuscripts Institute held an expanded meeting today via video conference to discuss prospects for cooperation in various fields related to Arabic manuscripts and their sciences, as part of joint efforts to preserve cultural and civilizational heritage and sustain heritage sciences.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of topics and axes of common interest, foremost of which is the exchange of scientific and technical expertise in fields related to manuscripts and their sciences, and agreeing on holding joint scientific events and projects, while developing action plans that serve Arab and Islamic heritage and preserve its civilizational memory.
During the meeting, Ms. Houssem Tan, Executive Director of Qatar National Library, praised the fruitful communication with the Arabic Manuscripts Institute, welcoming the opening of new horizons for joint work between the two sides and launching future projects that serve manuscript heritage.
For his part, Dr. Musa Al-Jubouri, Director of the Arabic Manuscripts Institute, welcomed cooperation with Qatar National Library, stressing the importance of strategic partnership between Arab cultural institutions to protect the Arabic manuscript heritage and facilitate its access to researchers and scholars.
