US President Donald Trump joked with his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun during their meeting at the White House.

Trump expressed admiration for the praise he received from the Lebanese president, saying: "He knows how to address me and can get anything he wants," according to Al Arabiya.

Aoun told Trump: "I have been looking forward to this visit for a long time and looked forward to meeting a great president like you."

The Lebanese president is visiting the United States to discuss with its president numerous files, most notably the withdrawal of the occupation from the areas it seized and the mechanism for restricting weapons to the Lebanese state.
