Trump: Iran Wants to Negotiate... Attacks Will Continue Until I Say Enough
US President Donald Trump said that Iran has expressed a desire to hold a meeting with the United States, emphasizing that Tehran is strongly seeking a settlement, while indicating that Washington has not yet made a decision on how to respond to this desire.
In an interview with Fox Business, Trump stressed that the United States will continue its military operations against Iran, threatening to expand the scope of attacks to include civilian infrastructure if Tehran does not return to the negotiating table.
The US president said that his country will target power plants and bridges in Iran in the coming period, adding: "Next week it will be very bad for them, and we will destroy all power plants and all bridges if they do not come back to the table and negotiate."
In response to a question about the continuation of military strikes, Trump confirmed that operations will continue, saying: "They will continue until I say enough."
Trump's statements come amid escalating US military operations against Iran, after the US military announced a new wave of strikes targeting Iranian military sites, as the region witnesses increasing tensions against the backdrop of the confrontation between the two countries.
